From start to finish, our marketing and design team worked closely with the client to understand the brand and its new direction. Together we came up with the "Modern Day Marie Antoinette" theme, and after a pre-shoot session and many meetings around story boards, styling and location, the team was put together: Hair was devised by the talent at Willis York, Makeup by the one and only Plush Studio, whom we have worked closely with in the past on other photo shoots. Our models Millie, Islay and Jacob were chosen from the amazing talent at Voda Model Management .
Other important considerations to assist with the overall look and feel of the shoot were also in the styling: It was decided that a Studio Photo shoot would best serve the client's objectives, rather than on-location, so we curated props and created a sophisticated universe within our City Studio. Clothing and accessories were sourced from both the client and from talented New Zealand designer Sofia Aroha (Good Faith) and Sylver and Shackel who supplied the jewellery- a mix of vintage and one-off pieces created here in New Zealand. Shoes were gratefully sourced from Mi Piaci Shoes and men's clothing from Frank Casey in Wellington.
This was a fantastic collaboration, and one that which has produced some fantastic results that both the client and our Studio are proud of.
