Last night's Wellington Homeless Trust/Women's Refuge Charity Gala Dinner was a huge success. The auction alone raised over $40,000, and we certainly helped that total
Personally and professionally, it was a great night. We provided photography services pro-bono, purchased a table, and provided an Auction Item.
In donating an Auction Item of one of our latest Fine Art Images, we were able to launch a great concept.
Our Red Chair Project has been underway for a couple of months now. The aim was to focus attention on some of what is great in Wellington.
Our Red Chair has already seen serious action, and has traversed a lot of ground. It's been a heap of fun too.
The Red Chair has also now been out of Wellington too. There have also been requests for it to go on a "Road Trip" to certain venues around New Zealand.
That will now be a happening thing!
Each Red Chair image is an Original! No copies or editions.
Each Original is beautifully printed on Epson Long Life papers using Epson K3 Ultrachrome archival inks. They are then matted, and framed to exacting standards.
The feedback last night, and the lateral thought process around our Red Chair, and where it could, and should appear has been enlightening and entertaining!
Best of all, each Red Chair Fine Art Original sold will be raising funds for two of the charities we Woolf's have traditionally supported, The Wellington Hospital Foundation and Women's Refuge.
Last night was a great way to launch The Red Chair Project. We had such great interest in future Red Chair Originals. We had suggestions, and two commissions too!
The Red Chair Project has already developed a life of its own, and we are looking forward to future Red Chair developments.
